How to capitalize and transfer knowledge and skills with the departure of an expert?

The context:

The company, Bassetti accompanied the retirement of an international expert in the gas analysis division. They ensured an effective transmission of all of his data, information, and knowledge, from both documents and databases. They also helped to formalize a certain amount of his critical knowledge and transfer that to the appropriate profiles to ensure the continuity of service on his missions.

“Beyond the departure of the expert in question, the diagnosis showed that it was necessary to propose action plans for the transmission and execution of the return on experience.
